Our next launch will be October 13, 2018. We will be back at MIS.

A bit windy but a great launch

We had some wind and we had to close the range early but it was another great launch with about 85 flights.
Thanks to all that came out and a special thanks to those that helped with setup and tear down.

Maker Faire a Great Success!

WOW!
We had a great time at the Detroit Maker Faire at The Henry Ford!
With near perfect weather with sunny skies and light winds, more than 300 rockets soared into the sky. Our most ever!
A very special thanks to all those that volunteered. It is a lot of hard work but well worth it for both our club and all those young (and some not so young) rocketeers.
Also, a big "thank you" to HUVARS and the staff of The Henry Ford.
Thanks again!

Volunteers Needed for Maker Faire!

The JMRC will once again be at The Henry Ford for this year's Maker Faire to be held on July 28-29.

And we need volunteers!

This event is a major fundraiser for us and has always drawn a big crowd. On a good weekend we can build and fly some 250 rockets!

We set up right out in the front yard of the Henry Ford.

We will need folks to help run the range, chase down rockets and help with the builds. If we have enough folks we will try to setup an information table inside.

Launch date added! June 16, 2018

We have added June 16, 2018 to our launch schedule. We will be back at MIS.

Launch for May 12th cancelled!

Looks like a bad weather day so we will have to cancel the launch scheduled for this Saturday, May 12th. We will try again on May 26th at MIS. 

May Launch Date and Location Change!

Please note that we have changed the date and location for our May launch. 

This Saturday, May 12th, at Horning #2.

The JMRC cafe will not be available so pack a lunch.

We have also set a rain date for May 26th at MIS.

Horning #2 is located northwest of Mannchester, on Bethel Church road between Ernst Rd. and Schneider Rd.
