We will be back at our Horning #1 field for the launch on November 14th. 

Horning #1 is northeast of Manchester, on the corner of Bethel Church road and Ernst Road. 3.4 miles east of M52. Please see the "Launch Fields" tab above for detailed directions.

Fantastic Launch!

Our October launch was one for the record books. Fantastic weather, huge crowd and a slew of NAR Jr. L1s. Congratulations to all. 

Venue change for this Saturday - launch will be at MIS!

 

We will be back at MIS for the launch this Saturday, October 10th. The Horning field still has crops and will not be available for our use. We should be there in November.

Next Launch September 12th

Our next launch will be September 12th at the Michigan International Speedway, Graves Campgound site. Right off of M12 just west of M50 in Brooklyn, MI. Flights to 3000' are OK.

Setup starts about 8:00am, flight operations begin at 10:00am and end at 5:00pm.  If you can come early or stay a little late to help with setup and tear down that would be great!

 

The last launch of the summer so be there!

 

Remember, we have everything you need! All launch equipment is provided, just bring yourself and rockets!

Last launch was Great!

Our August launch was a great one! Light winds, 121 flights and all our rocket friends made for a perfect day.

The Joint launch with JMRC/MMAR/SMASH will be held at the Muskegon Waste Water Treatment Facility in Muskegon. Please see the MMAR website for details on location and altitude limits. 

Next launch December 6th, Club Meeting and potluck December 7th.

 

We'll try for our last launch of the year on December 6th at Horning #2. One last try for the 2014 contest and Loki 2014 contest. We'll be there from 10:00am - 5:00pm. Flights to 4000' (but you might want to check the wind forecast).

 

Let's hope the polar vortex stays at the north pole where it belongs!

 

Our annual club meeting and potluck will be held on December 7th at the Grotto club (102 E. Washington Ave. in Jackson). We will once again elect club officers and hold our raffle and auction. We would like to see as many members attend as possible and bring with you a dish to pass and any items that you can donate to the raffle and auction. There will also be a cash bar available. We generally raffle off bits and pieces and auction off the more pricier items. The meeting is also a good time to update your membership for next year.
